How to read these
Every project here is a real house in Western Massachusetts or Northern Connecticut, photographed from the same spot before we started and after we finished. Drag the slider and the two line up.
The number beside each one is working days on site — not calendar weeks, and not counting the time spent waiting on materials. It is the honest measure of how long we were in somebody's home.
What these jobs have in common
- One crew, start to finish. The person who priced it ran it. Nobody got handed off to a subcontractor nobody had met.
- Prep nobody photographs. Levelled subfloors, flashed ledgers, waterproofing behind tile, foam against concrete. That is where the money quietly goes, and it is why these still look like this.
- The written price. Each of these finished at the number on the estimate, barring changes the owner asked for along the way.

Questions we get
Are these your own photos?
Every one. Same house, same angle, before and after. Nothing here is a stock photo or a rendering.
How long did these take?
The number on each project is working days on site. A repaint is two or three, a full kitchen is around ten, a whole interior runs to twelve or more.
Can you do the same thing in my house?
Usually, though the price depends on what is behind your walls rather than on what the photo looks like. That is what the free walk-through is for.
Do you have more than what is shown?
Yes. These are the projects we photographed properly from both ends. Ask about a specific type of job and we will send what we have.
